JOYCE M. RUBIN: Candidate for L.A. County Central Committee AD 44
1992. “The Year of The Woman” in California Politics was the beginning for me to seek public office as a Community Grassroots Activist. It would be an honor to earn your vote to continue serving as an Elected Member of the Los Angeles Democratic Central Committee member for AD 44, along with the entire Experienced Labor Solidarity Slate.
As a lifelong Democrat, single mom, social justice advocate, and activist in the Jewish community, I am very involved in our Democratic Party. I have been elected a DNC delegate to five national conventions. I have also been elected to many California State Party Conventions. Currently I am running to be a Biden-Harris Delegate for the 2024 National Convention.
My top priority for 2024 is re-electing President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and electing Democrats at all levels. My experience helping elect Democrats up and down the ballot spans from 1992 through the present. I have been honored by Democratic leaders and organizations as an outstanding grassroots volunteer and social justice advocate. I am passionate about Get Out The Vote (GOTV) through canvassing, phone banking, post carding, texting, marching, and volunteering. We must do everything we can to elect Democrats!
It is a joy mentoring young Democrats especially women in our party. I was fortunate to have many mentors and now it is my chance to pay it forward. I want to continue creating a diverse and vibrant Democratic Party that reflects the strength of our Democratic values. As a co-founder of Democrats For Israel Los Angeles (DFI/LA), I am also a member of numerous Democratic Clubs including Action Democrats, Stonewall, Glendale and Burbank Democratic Clubs.
